We are excited and honored to host three excellent speakers that will educate and enlighten us all on the topic of LEADERSHIP, the topic that you, our members, most requested per our survey last fall.
Whether we lead a company, lead a small staff, or lead ourselves – there is something to be learned about ourselves and others that make our work and our lives more effective and our relationships more authentic. See what this trio of accomplished speakers can share about their expertise and experience when it comes to defining what leadership truly is!
Lunch included.
A self-proclaimed introvert, Bob Schlichte learned to push outside his comfort zone to refine the art of ship building: Friendships, relationships, partnerships and sponsorships. Bob learned at a young age how to build his ships, selling pots and pans door to door to make his way through college. Those relationships he established and what he learned about himself helped launch his career in sales and in his current role as the VP of Strategic Relations of Grand Casino and Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures.
Bob has worked with and serves on the Board of many Chambers of Commerce over the years and is excited to meet our membership. He knows how to develop and grow a solid foundation that encourages you to push your ships in the direction you want to go in life. Bob holds a leadership conference at Grand Casino Hinckley that is second to none in the quality of speakers and information presented, mixed in with humor and fun. After more than 25 years in the Grand Casino group, he knows how to fill the room!
Bob and his wife live in Maple Grove, have three children and three grandchildren. He loves golf and spending summers with his family on Farm Island Lake in Aitkin County.
It comes natural for Brent Stromme to want to help! It’s his servant heart that called him out of the pastoralship after 17 years, to find ways to reach people and help them achieve their goals.
Brent is a story teller, writer, blogger, a speaker, an encourager, an entrepreneur, a visionary, and simply holds a passion for people! Lead yourself before you can lead others! Leaderbird.com
Brent and his family live in Annandale where his two boys share in his entrepreneurial spirit and help in his tech businesses. They enjoy adventures –even if in their own backyard!
Mental awareness and the ability to adapt throughout life are the foundations of the presentations and programs Lena Scullard creates. Lena specializes in personal development and interpersonal skills topics that help us understand the differences between people and helping each of them discover their potential and find success!
Lena knows there is a difference between leading people and managing a team or business, and that even if you are a “one-man show,” you have the ability to influence others around you. The potential to be a leader lies in us all! The concept of servant leadership has been a focus for Lena throughout her career, even before she really knew what it was. It’s not about being “the boss,” or driving results, it’s about connecting with people first! When people come first, improvement of outcomes and goals and the bottom line are the natural result.
Lena has several years of experience in leadership and training through her work with Grand Casinos and has recently stepped out on her own with her speaking, training, and consulting business called LMS Productions. She is thrilled at the chance to meet our members and share her insights with us. She is a powerful story teller, and promises to engage us with dynamic content, which makes learning easy! She may even sprinkle in some interactivity, just for fun. She will also give us some good take-aways to help us all apply these ideas in our everyday life. mlenascullard.com
