Radon and Other Risks: Understanding the Environment's Role in Lung Cancer
Viriginia Piper Cancer Institute and Buffalo Hospital invite the public to Radon and other Risks: Understanding the Environment's role in Lung Cancer
A community forum on radon will be held Monday, April 20 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Buffalo Hospital, (Conference Room B), 303 Catlin St in Buffalo. Nationally, one in every 15 homes has elevated radon, but in Minnesota, it is one in every five, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Josh Kerber from the MDH; Dr. Nicole Hartung, Allina Health Clinic Buffalo and Jill Hylla, Wright County Public Health will discuss what radon is and why it's harmful.
A question and answer session will be held at the end of the evening. Free radon kits will be available to the first 150 registrants.
The event is free, but registration is required by calling 763-684-7025 .
