Join Buffalo Hospital Community Engagement and Wellness Department as they celebrate the third annual Food Day! Outside the Hospital cafeteria on Thursday, October 24 from 11 am to 1:30 pm, come learn about how we can inspire our community into action by celebrating the movement toward more healthy, affordable, and sustainable food.
Several booths with a variety of topics will be there, including Wright County Public Health, Buffalo Hospital Dietitians, the Local Roots Food Coop, Cub and Coborn’s Natural Food Selection, Lithe Wellness Solutions, and Buffalo Hospital Wellness Department.
The priorities of Food Day include promoting safer, healthier diets, support sustainable and organic farms, reduce hunger, reform factory farms to protect the environment and animals, and to support fair working conditions for food and farm workers.
On October 24, learn the difference between a healthy diet vs. the Standard American Diet (SAD), how much sugar is actually in the sugar sweetened beverages and other ‘treats’. Plenty of healthy tips, recipes, samples and giveaways. Finally, find out how you can Energize Like a Warrior the natural way!
