Join in the fun of exploring the night sky at the library. Amateur astronomer, Mark Boyd will explain the motion of the stars, planets and the changing phases of the moon. He will also provide a guided tour of the night sky using a laser pointer to highlight the constellations. Several telescopes will be available to observe double stars, galaxies, etc. Our objective is to help everyone develop a better appreciation of the night sky and to spark interst in astronomy as a hobby for the whole family. Dress for the weather. For families. Limit 10 families. Preregistration required.
