DESCRIPTION:Saints on Stage Presents Press Start!\n\n\n\nSaints on the Stage( SOS)\, the extra-curricular musical theater program at St. Francis Xavier School\, is transporting us to the bright pixilated world of video games in Press Start!  \n\n \n\nPress Start!\, A New Children's Musical tells the story of our favorite video game characters who are running out of lives.  In order to keep the game going\, they decide to put on a Musical to raise gold rings and play on.  Through the upbeat musical numbers we see a different side to our heroes\, villains and sidekicks.  As the antics ensue and things go terribly wrong\, an unlikely hero steps forward to save the day. "The music is so fun" said volunteer director Laura Flynn "We chose this lesser known title because it has a wonderful storyline\, its written for young actors and we felt the audience would enjoy something new."  \n\n \n\nSOS is in it 9th year and has 53 students in the cast and several more backstage.  "Audiences will once again be impressed with the talent showcased by Saint Francis Xavier students" beamed principal Alisa Louwagie. Each year Saints on Stage theater program casts all the students who audition for the play.  "We hope to expose students to all aspects of performance art." said volunteer director Laura Flynn "I love the way the group supports one another through the process while growing their individual talents."  \n\n \n\nPress Start! takes the stage at St. Francis Xavier Faith and Education Center in Buffalo on Friday\, March 8 at 7pm\, Saturday\, March 9 at 3pm and Sunday\, March 10 at 3pm.   "We decided to vary the times a bit this year as a better fit for our cast" said Principal Alisa Louwagie.  Tickets are $8.00 and go on sale February 11 through the school office during regular school hours.  Tickets will also be available at the door before performances.
